Robert Parker: For the first time, the Garmón 2021. contains 5% Cabenet Sauvignon in the blend with Tempranillo from different vilages and zones withing Ribera del Duero.2 They work small plots of old vines and old clones that have a longer cycle. The grapes ferment from 12 to 16 days with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in French oak barrels for 22 months. despite the high altitude of the majority of vineyards here, the wine feels riper than the 2021´s from Mauro, and the oak is more evident in the nose. It´s spicy toasty and smoky, with a medium to full-bodied palate with abundant, slightly dusty tannins. Drink date 2025-2033

Garmón 2021. Procede de viñedos de varios municipios de Burgos y Valladolid, los mas jóvenes de 30 años llegando hasta los 100 años en los mas viejos. La añada 2022 ha sido sobresaliente en su calidad, marcada por un reparto desigual de las lluvias en la diferentes estaciones y por las copiosas nevadas de principios de año. Sin embargo al final del ciclo algunas tormentas y el contraste térmico día/noche ayudaron a la maduración impecable para obtener unos racimos perfectos. Los vinos de esta cosecha son firmes y frescos, con aptitud para una larga guarda.

Tim Atkin: Eduardo Garcia makes this outstanding assemblage of Tinto fino and 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes sourced from Anguix, Baños de Valdearados, Moradillo and Tubilla del Lago. It´s a wine that illustrates his skills as a blender showing a well-judge combination of structure and acidity. Clove spice, plum, orange zest and blueberry flavours are framed by scented, lightly toasted oak. One of the best Gramón releases yet. 2026-2040
